BRAEL / TOKYO BLOODWORM - Living Language (Moteer Records)

April 26th, 2008

BRAEL / TOKYO BLOODWORM - Living Language (Moteer Records)Tokyo Bloodworm was born in August 2004 from the minds of Andrew Sanchez and Ryan Keane.
Tokyo Bloodworms major style influences include traditional middle eastern and japanese music, folk and minimal electronic music. The musicians also utilize both unusual timing and space to create a sound that is original. Using these elements as a back drop, a sound has been created that is not only warm and organic, but one that is also dark and refined. This combination of moods exposes the listener to washes of guitars, floating melodies and heavy tribal rhythms. In contrast there are also moments free of sound except for the slightest twinge of handmade white noise and distant strings. We dedicated to creating analog soundscapes, seamlessly combined with hauntingly chaotic electronics, which are filled with beauty and a pulse.

Brael is an electro-acoustic duo currently residing in New Haven, CT. “Living Language”, a sweet collaborative album they created with Tokyo Bloodworm, is available now from Moteer records.
